INSURANCE POLICY
- At rental pick-up credit card or cash deposit of €500 is required. In the event of damage to the car:
- COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW) - The renters liability for damage to the rented vehicle, can be reduced, under the condition that the Greek Traffic Law is not violated, to a minimum charge of €500.
- FDW & WUG - Full collision damage waiver with charge of €500.
The ren The renter is insured for damages caused to the underside of the vehicle, glass, tires and engine with obligation to pay maximum of €500.
- TP - Theft Protection with with charge of €500.
The renter is insured in case the vehicle is stolen, except if theft occurs because of negligence. Any stolen belongings in the interior of the car (e.g. cameras, travel bags or cell-phones) are not covered by any insurance. - PL - Public Liability insurance
The ren The renter's liability is covered to a maximum of €1.300.000 for death and bodily injuries and €1.300.000 for material damages. May also be referred to as PLI. - PAI - Personal accident insurance
Passengers of the rental vehicle are insured for death or bodily injuries in case of accident to a maximum of €1.300.000. Driver is insured to the amount of €10.000.
Age
The driver's age range is between 23 - 70 years.
Driver's License
Drivers must have held a valid license for at least one (1) year.
Additional Drivers
One (1) additional dri One (1) additional driver can be registered without any additional charge. Maximum three (3) drivers including the main driver are allowed per rental. The extra cost is €5/day per driver.
Road and Accident Assistance
Road and Accident Assistance is free of charge and available 24/7. Our Road and Accident Assistance partner is Apeiron Company. Telephone:
+30 21 3090 4363. It is recommended to contact directly in the event of required roadside assistance.
Traffic Violations, Traffic fines and Administrative Sanctions
The insuran The insurance does not apply if damages are due to Greek traffic code violations. All fines & administrative penalties are payable by the driver.
Payment
Deposit €500 by credit card or cash are required as a guaranty.
Taxes & Mileage
All the rates are on a daily basis and include 24% VAT (Value Added Tax) and unlimited km.

We offer 2 types of child seats (Baby seat. Booster seat) free of charge. Wi-Fi Modem
We offer wi-fi modem for €20 per day.
Fuel Policy
Pick-up and drop-off with full tank.
Key Loss
The client is liable for all costs to replace keys which have been lost or damaged and the cost of retrieval of keys which have been locked inside a vehicle.
Tyres Damages
Non-repairable/bur Non-repairable/burst tyres are not covered by the insurance. If the tyre is repairable the customer may repair it and the company is obliged to refund any costs.
Delivery & Collection of Vehicles
Pick-up and drop-off possible only in airport Heraklion, Port Heraklion, Rock Bay Villas.
Pick-up and drop-off from/in airport Heraklion, port Heraklion are subject to a €20 extra charge payable on arrival.
Pick-up and drop-off from/in Rock Bay Villas is free of charge.
Ferrying the vehicle & Across the border rentals
The car may not be embarked on a ship and can be used only on the territory of Crete Island.
Rental Extension
If you have already picked up your vehicle and wish to keep it longer, you must contact our company and check if the car is available. We have the right to deny the extension of the rental if the car is already booked. If extension is possible, there is a Grace Period of one (1) hour (i.e first hour delay in return is not charged) provided that our company is notified and has given permission. Next 3 hours are charged at €10 per hour. Over 3-hour delay, a one-day rate will be charged. Please note that a customer is not allowed to bring the car later than the agreed return time without having taken permission (having extended the rental) from our company since there is not any insurance coverage after the return time of the car.
Accident
In case of an accident, the rentermust contact our company immediately via our 24/7 helpline in order to receive instructions on howto handle the situation. You are notallowed to leave the incident place without reporting the accident. If you cannot contact our company, you should contact the police directly. If the renter fails to provide the report to our company then he is obliged to pay for repairing costs of any damage caused to the rental vehicle. If the driver or one of the passengers is injured you should also inform the police/ambulance. If by any chance the other involved party leaves the accident place, take a photo or write down the plate number. We will also call our insurance partner for an accident report. It is prohibited to drive under alcohol influence and disobey traffic rules.
Use of car
All insurance coverings & waivers are valid provided that the renter has complied with all terms & conditions. The renter is obliged to inspect the vehicle and report any damage to our office or police, as soon as possible without moving the car, in order to provide all information and photos necessary for the submission of the incident's full description.
If the renter fails to report the damage within two (2) hours, then he admits responsibility and is obliged to compensate the company for repairing costs. No accident/damage report is accepted on the return of the car without prior notification.
The company is entitled to claim compensation from the renter up to the repairing cost of the damage as below: For damages caused when the vehicle is operated on any unauthorized road, non-asphalt road, dirt road or off-road (e.g. Balos), either intentionally or unintentionally (rented vehicle ran off the road).
For damages caused when the renter violates traffic rules (e.g. road/STOP signs, speed limits, road direction, U-turns, illegal overpassing, double line overpassing). For damages caused when the renter is distracted, misjudges his course and goes out of the road. For damages caused when the renter violates parking rules. For damages caused when the vehicle is operated in any race, speed test, rally or contest or the vehicle is used for the purpose of reward (taxi or courier service). For damages caused when the vehicle is driven by any person disqualified from holding or has never held a driver's license appropriate for that vehicle or is not a registered driver in the rental agreement. For damages caused when the driver of the vehicle is under alcohol or drug influence that affects his ability to drive the vehicle. For damages caused when the vehicle is willfully or recklessly used by the renter (e.g. damages caused to the doors/body of the car by the wind, damages damages to clutch/gearbox, damages to the vehicle interior, damages caused by animals, damages caused by sitting/standing on the bonnet/boot/roof of the vehicle).
